Collective Haul

Here are a bunch of random things I picked up the last month. Some things are from Ireland, some things from Spain and a few things I got for my birthday. I tried to buy some practical stuff for the autumn/winter time.

Everything-Penneys

Always have to have a local magazine for the plane ride. I finally trying out the L'occitane hand cream which I've heard really good things about. These cut out boots are also from Penneys and are super comfortable!

Things from Majorca: New Jeans from Pull&Bear, grey sweater and roll on perfume from Zara. The perfume smells just like Paco Rabannes 'One million lady'

I also took advantage of the duty free and bought the Clarins 'Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector' in 01 and 02
My birthday presents: It by Alexa Chung- really been enjoying this book, I love all the fashion icons that she has and my other loves- the 420 New Balance

Prague 12/13.10.14

It was my 21st birthday on October the 12th. I still can not believe I'm already that old (!)
We started my birthday by visiting the National Gallery, I don't know why but somehow the weather is always on my side. Contrary to the saturday the weather on sunday was very sunny and nice. After lunch we had a little hike up to the Prague Castle where we had a fantastic overview of the city! We spent the whole afternoon walking around the Prague Castle and exploring its glory.
Prague is a beautiful city and totally worthy of a weekend gateway!

National Gallery
Probably my favorite Painting in the museum, I also bought myself the poster version of it!

The museum was huge- there were all kinds of different art eras, like this modern art installation

It had five floors in total, sadly we were only able to see two of them  because we still had other things to see

Pizza time!

Overview of the city- to me the striking feature of Prague are the beautiful red and turquoise roofs

Prague 11.10.14

It was my birthday last sunday so me and my best friend Celine decided to have a short trip to Prague to celebrate my 21st birthday! We arrived to Prague friday evening, we stayed in a hotel which used to be a boat so obviously it was called -Botel. Every morning we got woken up by the ducks quacking outside our window, which was indeed very amusing!
Saturday was our first official day in Prague like always we had lots of things on our list that we wanted to see including the Charles bridge, City hall, the Powder tower and many more. At first we had some difficulties finding the right tram station and the names of all the sights because czech is quite different to german or english so we couldn't derive those names very easily but nonetheless we were able to find everything we wanted to see and I'm not exaggerating by saying we were blown away by the beauty of Prague!

A panorama view form the Charles bridge
Everywhere we went there were these beautiful old buildings!

Hi!

The Prague astronomical clock-coincidently we got to the clock at about 10 minutes before 12 o'clock. So we were able to see the movement of the clock

The old town square

We went to the Palladium-a huge shopping mall to have lunch- this restaurant was called mongolian barbecue but unfortunately it wasn't very mongolian at all but still my ramen was delicious!

We randomly passed a korean supermarket and of course we had to buy some quite little snacks

We tried out some traditional czech food- I had Svíčková na smetaně, which is beef sirloin with bread dumplings and my friend had goulash

Palma de Mallorca

I'm back from Prague where I spent the weekend to celebrate my 21 birthday! This post is probably my last 'summery' post of this year 2014. So me and my parents had a little family vacation in the middle of september, we went to Majorca for almost a week. We basically spent it lying at the beach, swimming in the ocean and eating delicious food. Certainly we had to pay a visit to the capital of Majorca- Palma. We had a stroll around the beautiful city, saw the majestic cathedral and just tried to capture every little thing the city had to offer. So here are a few of my impressions of Palma:

We had some delicious ice-cream at this shop, the funny thing about this building was that it periodically produced water vapor, which was not only refreshing but also very unique

I really love the mediterranean architecture and plants
