Birkenstock

So since last year the Birkenstocks have become more and more of a stylish trend. And at first I wasn't really a big fan because I always associated Birkenstocks with an old hippie kind of person and just sort of ugly-just not fashionable at all. But since I am on the internet that often I saw more and more bloggers styling those sandals. It might be not everyones cup of tea but to me they have such an effortless cool vibe to it and the other plus side is that they are super comfortable!

I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased myself the classic 'Birkenstock Arizona'

Can't wait to style these babies- the only thing that hasn't played a long so far was the weather!

Asparagus casserole

It is asparagus time!
I always look forward to this time of the year because I can stuff myself with asparagus. Although it is quite a shame that you can't eat it all year round but it makes you appreciate the time that you can get hold of the asparagus even more. Asparagus is fat free, cholesterol free, sodium free and an excellent source of vitamin C. So today I wanted to show this really simple and super delicious recipe to make asparagus casserole for 3-4 people:

Ingredients: 1 kg of Asparagus, half a lemon, 200 gr. ham, 1-2 packs of hollandaise sauce, 200 gr. of grated cheese, chives, 1kg of precooked potatoes, salt, pepper and sugar

1. Step: Peel the asparagus and cut off the hard woody ends. Then cut them into smaller pieces. Pour approximately 1-1.5 liters into a big pot and put the lemon and some salt and sugar into the water. This will help to lessen the bitterness of the asparagus. Now let it cook for 20 minutes.

2.Step: While the asparagus is cooking cut the precooked potatoes, ham and chives and put it in a casserole form and mash everything together

3. Step: Pour the hollandaise sauce into the casserole form you can also add some cheese, pepper and salt into the mixture

4.Step: The final step is to mix the cooked asparagus into the casserole as well and top it off with a lot of cheese. Now place it in the oven on 200°C and bake it for about 20-25 minutes

The final result should look a bit like this. Enjoy your meal!

Black and White

One of the things that I am most excited about going home is to see my friends. It is always a nice memory to meet up and I find it really funny how you change but still remain the same.
These days I have been living in monochrome, I know not all of my friends like my new black blazer one of my friends even told me I look like a janitor but nonetheless I think I am at a age where you could definitely take some risk in what you will be wearing.

I'm wearing: Black blazer & Trousers-Monki, Shirt-H&M, Shoes-Topshop and Alexander Wang rocco bag borrowed from m friend

Lovely brunch and a lot of catching up to do!

Detail shot: Gorgeous Alexander Wang bag--one day I will be owning one ^.^

Have a lovely weekend!

My easter week in pictures

I hope everyone had a lovely easter break! For my part I went home to see my parents. I was pretty busy meeting friends, cooking and just hanging around with my parents. So here are a few photos on my easter impressions:

My mum always puts up chocolate and small decor in my room
This is what the easter bunny brought me: Chanel nail polish in 167 Ballerina and a Sisley Lip pencil in Rose Sorbet

I finally came around to put on these lovely hand made bed sheets which I got from my aunt back when I was in China. It was so cool because I could choose the fabric and the design on it.

One of my favorite cakes of all time: Tarte au Chocolate-it is really easy to make and so yummy!

I bought this little daisy print dress from Forever 21 and I can't wait till the weather gets warmer  so I could finally wear it!

I also bought this deep sleep spray for my parents and a peach body butter both from the body shop. I adore the smell of the body butter it smells like some really sweet and ripe peaches!

A day in Colmar

Bonjour! I went to see my parents during the easter break and the perks of living in my hometown is that you can easily go to another country in the twinkling of an eye. So when I was there we had a spontaneous little trip to Colmar a city in the north-east of France. It is really funny to think that in only 40 minutes you have left Germany. Colmar is really beautiful and on that day the weather couldn't have been better. It was sunny but not overly warm, so it was perfect to do a little sightseeing.

Cute and colorful houses

You could really see the effort of those people decorating all their houses for easter

'Little Venice'

Maybe it was just me but I could totally feel the french way of living-they took everything with a sort of ease

Macaroons-my love
I totally forgot about the fact that I was going to France and that they have a much better variety of products in the pharmacy otherwise I would have researched for a lot more products but luckily I saw this and remembered that I really wanted to try it and that it is not available here in Germany

And of course I couldn't leave Colmar without hooking myself up with a macaroon, this pistachio one was super yummy!

Au revoir
