Home sweet home

Home, let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you

Yes, I'm back in good old Germany. It has been 3 weeks to be exact. What have I done all this time? To be honest I just relaxed and enjoyed life. I'm happy about the good weather, my beautiful spacious room, the beautiful landscape, my old friends and of course last but not least, the food! Oh god, how I have missed having german food and being able to cook. So my schedule is sleeping in, having a long breakfast, seeing friends, clubbing and just relaxing in general.
Having unlimited time for you breakfast is such a luxury and rarity these days . Because normally my mornings are really hectic and often there is no time for breakfast.

A gift that I received in Dalian from my lovely friends. It will always remember me of the fun times I had in Dalian and also it is the only thing with my name on it
I love making me healthy and delicious snacks

My morning routine: a cup of soy milk/tea,  different fruit salads and checking Facebook and Youtube

These days my mum is really into salmon which I'm really fond of as well. This is what I made for lunch; salmon with potatoes and spinach. Yummy!

Brunch time with a lovely friend

Really been digging the long sharp nail look

New bikini from H&M- perfect to go to the lake or the pool
Beautiful Gladiolus from our garden

I could spent hours watching Tv shows. At the moment I'm loving New Girl, Girls, Carrie Diaries, We got married, Broke Girls etc.

Off to see friends

Goodbye Jilin

Here are officially the last pictures that I took in Jilin. I had three more dinners with my friends. We had lovely food and very interesting/funny moments. We even went a last time to KTV, which was incredible fun!
Me and my japanese friend

On sunday the guys and I went to a korean restaurant first and had lovely kimchi soup
After that we went to a smaller place and had some snacks

For monday I went to the place where I've already been with the girls and my teacher, we had a lovely dinner and went to KTV afterwards and sang out our souls ^.^

On tuesday I had my last dinner with the boys, the food there is so good! After that we also went to a smaller place and had more snacks.

On wednesday I went to uni on last time and I already felt really heartbroken, there I said goodbye to most of my friends and teachers. After that I went to have coffee with some friends and for dinner I went out with my family one last time (we had delicious korean barbecue). My train to Beijing was on thursday morning, so a few of my lovely friends waited at the train station to say goodbye to me on last time... :(. It was really teary and I really did not want to leave. I really got used to my friends and the lifestyle there.

I dedicate this post to all my lovely friends I made these 10 months at Beihua! Thank you for making my stay so memorable and full of joy!

Last days in Jilin pt. 1

What did I do the last days in Jilin? -of course I spent it with my friends. I had a lot of goodbye dinners with everyone of them. I really enjoyed eating with them sharing memories, plans and hopes for the future. It is really tough to have such an experience to encounter so many amazing people from all over the world but it is even harder to say goodbye because it is always uncertain when and where the next meet up will be. This post is really food-heavy but it shows that I do really miss the chinese cuisine.
Our favorite teacher spoilt us on an amazing dinner!
We had a lot of fun together!

The girls and I went to Mr. Dakgalbi, a restaurant originally from Korea

Delicious Dakgalbi! Sadly that day I didn't feel that well so I had to leave earlier :(

The last couple of days my family and I went to a lot of different restaurants. Here me and my little niece are fooling around ^.^

This dish is made out of sweet potatoes it is really good but also very sticky

A big THANK YOU to my lovely cousin!

Beishan Park

There aren't a lot of attractions in Jilin, there is Songhua Lake, the river and there is Beishan Park. So me and my friends decided to visit Beishan Park because I've never been before. To be honest it isn't very spectacular, the park has a little lake in the middle and is surrounded by little mountains. It is nice to climb up the mountain and get a view of the city. Nevertheless I thought it was an amazing day with my friends! And I wish I could turn back time and be back in Jilin with my friends.

Changchun

I'm back in Germany (!) that means I can upload more regularly although my last post has been 2 weeks ago (sorry!). The reason for that is I had a lot of farewell parties with my friends in China and I just needed time to get used to my old life here in Germany. I still have a few posts to come, things I did while I was in China. So this post is about my trip to Changchun. I went to the South lake and had a few nice days with my auntie.
We went to this Mongolian restaurant, I never had mongolian food before so this was really special

This is very typical drink in Mongolia it is an alcoholic beverage made out of horse milk

Some sort of dessert it was fried and in the middle it was some sort of milky ice-cream

At the south lake

Denim Shirt; H&M, Shirt; Vero Moda, Skirt; Bershka, Flats; Topshop

Yes, I got into one of these things, I felt like a hamster in a wheel or just in a 'one direction' video

Delicious dumplings! Just for you information my favorite dumplings are the fried ones ^.^

Dalian

In the beginning of june we had a few days off from university so my friends and I decided to have a little trip to Dalian, a city in the northeast of China. Dalian is located west of the Yellow Sea, it really felt like a little field trip to the beach. We were a total of 7 people from various countries. It was a really cool group of people. We mostly hung out near the beach, now looking back at these pictures it really makes me sad because we had an awesome time and I will be leaving Jilin in 2 days...
But anyways here are a few photos that I took during the stay:

Everywhere we went there was some kind of amusement park

Delicious food
