Thank you Santa! ♡

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did! This Christmas was a lot more relaxed then the years before, I think with the years my family and I decided to take it rather slow with all the cooking and having a 'perfect' holiday. In my opinion that is a much better way because now we could solely enjoy the company of each other. I spent the Christmas day with my parents and at friends. It was really lovely we had good food, laughter and just a jolly time. This year I must have been a really nice girl because I got so many nice presents.

My presents: A new yoga mat, box of chocolate,  a book with 100 years of apparel ads, Nuxe Reve de Miel, slippers and an Ipad Air + Case

New cute Slippers from H&M, I get a pair every year, they are so cozy!

Delicious cake, cookies and chocolate! -Christmas tradition

The book that I got; so many beautiful old illustrated ads from the past. This book is so inspirational because in my opinion the fashion these days is always taking inspiration of the past

Finally got the Nuxe Reve de Miel, I've been sneaking around it for quiet a while and the smell is amazing

I was really surprised to receive this I think my parents gifted it with the intention to facilitate my university work

I'm so grateful for all my presents!

Home for the holidays

The perks of being at home: my mom always brings me tea and cookies while I'm watching a movie. The Holiday is by far one of my favorite movies it just instantly brings me into the christmasy mode. I love the old cottage in this movie, it looks so cozy and warm!

I'm home for the holiday season, and so far it has been incredible. Everything at home feels so christmasy and comfortable! I love that everyone is home and meeting my friends feels like nobody has ever left. Although the holidays so far has been pretty busy I still try to have some cozy nights at home with my parents. So here are a few photos from the first few days at home:

I put some lights out at my balcony

My lounge wear: christmasy reindeer sweater, sweatpants and cozy socks

These finally came in the mail, I've ordered these ages ago and it was such a struggle to track them down. I was really disappointed with the service of Hqhair.com, I can't really recommend it

And here is a up close photo of the brushes; I bought the Core Collection Kit (Face), the Starter Set Kit (eyes) and the Blush brush and so far I'm really pleased with the quality of those brushes

Baking cookies is one of my favorite things to do during Christmas

These are by far my favorite cookies and Christmas is such a good excuse to be munching these away ^.^

My mum is the sweetest, she always puts some decoration into my room hoping that I will like it

I've got these super cute new pajamas from my dad

Being at university in a different city makes me appreciate my home and my parents so much more!

Merry Christmas to everyone

Christmas in munich

So december went by so fast, most of my time I spent studying and going to university, very uneventful unfortunately. Nonetheless december is actually one of my favorite months mostly because of Christmas. I love all the delicious Christmas food, thinking about suitable presents for my family and friends, the Christmas decoration... I could count numerous other things. Although I had to do a lot studying I did took some breaks and enjoyed the Christmas spirit in munich. I felt like I had to do some catching up with christmas because of the solely fact that didn't really celebrated it last year. (Because in China Christmas isn't as important as it is here). Munich has tons of different Christmas markets, there is one for every taste. You have the biggest traditional one at Marienplatz or a really authentic middle age christmas market near Odeonsplatz and so on. It is very worth checking out, so here are a few photos to give you a little impression of my december so far:
The huge Christmas tree at Marienplatz

I went out and bought myself a Yankee Candle, I'm so in love with this scent and currently burning it!

Bought some gifts- this year I ordered most of my presents to avoid the stress in the shops

This was a little stand at the Christmas market in the Residenz, I loved all the pretty and very dainty christmas tree ornaments. I went there yesterday with a friend, nothing brings you more into the Christmas spirit than a cute Christmas market, we had some food and drank eggnog

Beautiful artwork made out of wood

The buildings along the Residenzstreet are all decorated with very lovely lighting- now I off to make some Christmas cookies whilst I listen to Michael Bubles Christmas album!

New things

These are just a few things that I have accumulated the past weeks. I got a little bit of money for my birthday and in all honesty I really haven't been shopping that much because uni just fills up my whole day. Although fall is my favorite season of the year, I'm not such a big fan of november because it is the transitioning month, it is always rainy, grey and cold. So a little shopping makes the soul happy.
The two beauty items I found during a sale promotion; this blush is called miami pink by Clarins

I heard a lot of people talking about cleansing balms and also a lot of reviews on this particular one from Clinique, it hasn't got any bad ingredients. I haven't been testing this very long but so far I can say it is a effective and simple cleanser!

Clockwise: white sweater-Pimkie, black furry cardigan-Forever21, white sweater-H&M, black and white crop top-Forever21, grey acid wash jeans-Zara

This coat is from forever21, about a month ago a huge forever21 opened here in munich. They have a huge variety of clothes there, recently I have been really enjoying the clothes there, very cute and affordable

Although I haven't bought these Uggs recently, I never had a chance to show them on my blog properly. I got them whilst I was in China and additionally I thought they would fit in this blog post because it shows some of my fall/wintery things. Uggs aren't particular the most fashionable shoes but there are just so comfortable and cozy warm, perfect for the colder months

How to: Green smoothie

It is all around the internet and  everyone is talking about it. The green smoothie. I'm always one that will try a trend. So this time I jumped on the bandwagon and tried to recreate a green smoothie. I've heard in the beginning that it won't be everyones cup of tea, that is why I tried to search a simple and tasty recipe which I could slowly work my way to my personal preferred taste. So this recipe is more on the save side for the beginners out there, it is a nice healthy drink. It is definitely a great alternative if you are in a rush and still want to get your daily vitamins. This recipe in particular is very tropical and fruity:
The Ingredients: half a pineapple, 100 gr. of fresh spinach, half a mango, one banana, 6-7 cubes of ice + 100 ml of water and 2 tblspn. of coconut oil (this step is optional)

Step 1: Wash the spinach and chop up all the fruits into bite-size pieces

Step 2: Put it all into a big bowl and blend everything with a mixer

Step 3: Pour it into a nice cup. And there you have the final result, very quick and simple. My family and I really enjoyed this green smoothie and I will soon try out some new recipes!

Enjoy

Home for the weekend

Last weekend I visited my parents at my old home. It was such a lovely weekend; I saw my friends

I really didn't planned anything spectacular that weekend my schedule looked like waking up late, having a delicious breakfast,  jogging, meeting with friends, cooking and eating with my parents, watching movies and just having a little stroll around the village. So here are a few impressions of my weekend :

Yummy- delicious cheesecake from the small bakery in our village. Oh how I miss those cakes!

How to: Couscous Salad

I really want to keep this blog alive and I luckily I found some pictures that I took recently on how to make Couscous salad. Most of my friends know that cooking is one of my biggest hobbies. I love the idea of a delicious meal and the only way for me to achieve that is to recreate it myself. My main focus is to have tasty dishes and if it's healthy simultaneously, even better! Couscous is a perfect dish for people on a diet because a salad like this does stuff you but it only contains a very little amount of calories. You can eat this salad on its own or have it as a delicious side dish. Let's begin:

Ingredients: 150 gr. Couscous, 200 ml Vegetable stock, 5-6 small tomatoes, half a avocado, 1/2 a lemon, red and yellow bell pepper, 2-3 gloves of garlic, mint, chives, salt & pepper, 1 tbsp. honey and 2-3 tbsp. olive oil

Step 1: Stir the vegetable stock into the couscous, cover it up and let it stand 10 minutes till the stock is absorbed

Step 2: Wash and then chop up all the vegetables into small pieces

Step 3: Fluff the couscous now with a fork and then mix the lemon juice, the honey, salt, pepper and oil into it

Step 4: Combine the chopped vegetables into the couscous give it nice mingle. There you have it!

Easy as that, bon appetite!

Pinakothek

From nowhere to somewhere - I'm really sorry for the lack of blogpost. Currently I don't have any access for good quality pictures because my camera is back at my old home.
Anyways what have I been up to these days? University started - a new big chapter in my life. New people to meet, new experiences to make and new stuff to learn (about me and of course things about my studies). This first week felt a little bit weird, everything is kinda strange and new. University is definitely a whole different thing from school or university in China. You have so many students in one lecture and it can get so noisy so quickly. It is kinda new to me that you are just a student out of a whole bunch of others and your lecturer probably won't ever get to know you. In my previous school education I was used to having a good or bad relationship with my teacher but never have I experience such an anonymity. Everything was much more familiar. And now you are one out of hundreds. But I just have to get used to it.
To something a little bit more cheerful, it was my birthday last saturday! Yayy! 20 years old not a teenager anymore. I must admit it is weird having a 2 in front of your age but that won't keep me to live my inner child. One of my best friends came to visit for the weekend. It was literally so much fun, we went clubbing on friday, did a little bit of shopping on saturday, watched a movie and went to the museum on sunday. It was such a nice weekend, not only to spend time with someone you are close with but also the things we did were a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from our trip to the museum:

Probably my favorite picture in the whole museum-Claude Monet

Lovely peonies!                                                                           My friend observing the pictures

Thank you so much for coming and for the lovely present!
