Dublin Part 3

We started our last official day in Dublin with a very enjoyable walking tour. Our tour guides name was Oisín which we later found out was named after the greatest poet of Irish mythology. I can highly recommend doing one of these tours whilst staying in Dublin, because although we saw most of the sights the day before we hadn't had a single clue about all the history behind it.

The gate across the Dublin Castle

The ceiling in the City Hall

O'Connell Street-where we did a little bit of shopping

Phoenix Park with the Wellington Monument in the back

We drove from O'Connell Street to the Phoenix Park where we stayed a while and later walked to the Guinness Storehouse

It felt like a whole Guinness District, everywhere we went we saw the gold Guinness logo on a black background-it made me realizes 'those Irish really like some Guinness'

In the evening we walked along the River Liffey and saw all the different bridges and the beautiful night lights -my favorite was the Samuel Beckett Bridge which looked like a harp lying on its edge

Thanks Dublin I had a splendid time, hope that you stay just the way you are!

Dublin Part 2

First stop of the day was Trinity College, where we walked through the beautiful campus. I wished that there would be more universities in Germany that have a whole campus system where everything is at one spot. The second thing we wanted to see was the National Gallery of Ireland, which was rather small but had some really nice gems included. After that we walked to the St. Stephen's Green, a park where loads of people were enjoying the sun.
The day was filled with visiting more than five churches which included St.Patricks Cathedral, Christ Church, St. Audeon's and some lesser know ones that we spontaneously passed by. We ended the day with a very fun Pub Crawl where we were able to get to know other people from all over the world and listen to their stories of why they came to Dublin.

Always enjoying a painting of Monet

Pablo Picasso

St.Stephen's Green

Surprisingly the weather was marvelous the whole week that we spent in Ireland. Here we are lying on the grass enjoying the sun and having a little rest from all the walking

Molly Malone near Grafton street- a fictional person who is mentioned in one of the most famous folk songs in Dublin

Christ Church

Inside St. Audoen‘s Church- ruins of a cemetery

Quite surprising to find a Tim Hortons in Ireland-of course I had to snatch up a Chocolate Donoguht

St.Patricks Cathedral

Ireland-Dublin Part 1

So here is the first part of my Ireland adventure! In total we went on a 8 day trip around the little green island. The first 3 days we stayed in Dublin and explored the capital. We stayed in the Temple Bar area and were able to walk to every sight that we wanted to see. I have kind a fell in love with the country. Dublin is a beautiful, quirky and fun city. I was really impressed about the irish hospitality, every single irish person that we have met was so kind and helpful. All in all it was a very pleasant stay! And I can highly recommend visiting Ireland!

Temple Bar -The atmosphere was filled with irish people who can drink a hell lot of Guinness and stunningly talented musician in every corner
In front on the Dublin Castle
The first night we went to this indian vegetarian restaurant

In every other corner there was something medieval looking, I had a constant deja-vu of Game of Thrones

Day 2: We did most of the sightseeing on the second day because we arrived rather late on the first day, so here is a little preview:

Tübingen part 2

On Sunday we had a rather late start to the day luckily the bad weather went off very quickly and we were able to have a nice stroll around the city. I came to Tübingen with no expectation because my friend already told me that there wasn't a lot to see but counterwise I really enjoyed it! I really liked all the buildings that I saw, like the cute traditional ones in the old town or the majestic ones on top of the hills. All in all I had a really lovely weekend not only seeing where my friend lives but also enjoying her company and talking about the old times. It made me really miss those carefree days where we saw us every day.

The beautiful Neckar river!

Jacket-H&M, T-Shirt-Weekday, Jeans-Zara, Shoes-Topshop

cute little king riding a bicycle

Tübingen has a lot of these small alleyways going up and down

Wooden boats- my friend told me that in the summer time people often cruise around with these boats on the Neckar river
We went to this small italian cafe

Delicious little pastry

Thanks again to my lovely friend and her boyfriend for welcoming me so nicely to their new home!

Tübingen part 1

Last weekend was the first time that I visited one of my best friends new home in the city of her choice-Tübingen. She has been living there for almost a year so it was about time that I visit her new home. Me and another friend arrived there on friday in the late afternoon. It was a really nice evening where we ate pizza and went clubbing. The next day we went to a city nearby called Metzingen, the city is know to be an outlet city and the weather was marvelous.
I only did a little bit of shopping because most of the stores weren't exactly my kind of style but I can still very recommend going!

Shorts & Sweater-Zara, Shoes-Birkenstock, Bag-Monki, Sunglasses-Warehouse

New Pajama Pants and Bra from Calvin Klein

All kinds of different Milka Chocolate ^.^
