End of summer '15

I'm already two weeks in Seoul and I have been enjoying every minute of it! But before I post any Korean related photos I thought I will show you some of my impressions of this summer '15. After my exams I had finally some time to enjoy life and spending it with friends and family. This post will be very food intense but the truth is I have been eating so much delicious food that I wanted to share ^.^

I went to this Chinese dim sum restaurant called 'Chi Wan' in Munich. Although it is a little bit far from the city centre I can only recommend it to everyone who wants to try some authentic dim sum

I went home almost immediately after my exams were over to spend some time home. It was my dads birthday on the 20th of August and we had a lovely family dinner
A very rare photo of me and my brother together

Delicious dessert-bavarian creme and panna cotta

My summer uniform: striped dress-H&M, sneakers-Stan Smith adidas

I bought an Instax camera because I love having photos printed out immediately and capturing some funny moments

My lovely brother took me out to have some delicious Japanese food-it was by far the most delicious Japanese food experience I have ever had. It was made with a lot of detail and very authentic

Day in Ikea

Whilst I was at home I met up with my best friend and a fun fact is that we used to always go to Ikea. Like literally all the time! And the good thing about our hometown is that Ikea isn't as hard to reach with public transport as for example here in Munich. Like always we strolled around the Ikea for ages, redecorating our dream houses in our imagination, had some delicious hot dogs and snapped some Outfit photos:

How cool is the jacket my friend is wearing?

OOTD: Hat & Shirt- H&M, Sweater-China, Trousers-Monki, Shoes-Goertz

I often reminisce about the time when we lived in the same district and would just hang around 24/7. These days we've been living in two different cities and hardly see each other which is quite sad. So I hope that one day we will be living in the same city again! I really miss seeing her face ♡

Lisbon Haul

Here are the things that I bought whilst I was in Lisbon, I only picked up a few pieces because I really need to limit myself from buying so many clothes and focus on items that I can wear more often!

Ripped jeans from Zara, Midi Dress from Bershka

I have this habit of buying foreign vogues whilst I'm on holiday so of course I had to get one from Portugal. On the first day when we went to the Oriente train station there happened to be a book market where I picked up a book of Monets work. And my find on the flea market a beautiful tile which I will probably use for decoration

Souvenirs for my family: all kinds of different sardines a lot of them I bought in the sardines shop I mentioned earlier. And also I snatched up my favorite body butter from the Body shop in the duty free - THAT smell is everything!

I picked up some random bits in Primark - Bedding and some cute sports gear

Winter wonderland!

I feel like these years snow is a very rare guest here in Germany. Whilst I was at home this christmas there were approximately three days of continuous snow. So of course me and my dad had to have a little walk around and enjoy the fresh snow! Now that I'm older and not living at home anymore I really appreciate these small moments with my dad. I feel like we should all appreciate spending time with our parents more. Because they always accept you the way you are!

Beautiful snow!

Happy week everyone!

...little late christmas

The huge christmas tree on Marienplatz
I know it is a bit late but happy new year! I hope you had a lovely christmas time it went by so quickly and I was kind of lazy these past days to blog at all. But one of my new years resolution was to blog more this year. So here is a small collection on the past christmas:

My friends were so sweet and got me these two advent calendars

Of course we had to bake some cookies- my friend had these super cute cookie cutters and all kinds of different sugar toppings

This was a little diy gift I got my friends - hot cocoa with marshmallows. It is super easy to make and all of them were really pleased with it

These are presents that I received this christmas: a cooking book (another new years resolution is to cook one of the recipes every month just to try out more new things), a clutch from American Apparel, a new pencil case that my friend made herself (!), Tea, Body lotion form &other stories, new glasses and finally the Naked Palette

I must have been a really good girl ^.^

Tomorrow is just a day away

I know it has been a crazy long time since I last posted something on my blog and to be honest there aren't a lot of excuses- I was just lacking motivation.
So to sum up this whole month- I've been at home for more than 3 weeks now and ever since my semester break started I was busy doing all kinds of things not related to this blog. I was meeting friends ,chilling, eating and barely doing anything productive. But I managed to take a few photos of things I have been doing at home. So one of my goals of coming home was to start eating more healthier things because you can easily fall into the habit of eating bad things as a student, you are lacking of ideas what to cook and also it has to be quick so per ushe you'll gravitate to fast processed food. That was the reason for me to experiment with new recipes and to find healthy and fast dishes I could make.

I have heard a lot of people talking about chia seeds - this is my take on the chia pudding. Very easy to make and just top it off with fruits and nuts and you have a delicious healthy breakfast

I'm planning my next trip - any guesses?

My summer break essentials- a good book and water with mint/lemon ice cubes

I haven't been to the cinema for ages and all of the sudden I've been in two in less than a week- 22 jump street was hilarious, I saw 21 jump street back in China and it kinda brought some memories back. The other one was a french movie called 'Monsieur Claude and his daughters' - I really liked the french scenery but the plot was kinda dull

I'll promise to post a few more things these couples of days

Heatwave

I went back home the last week because we had some days off from uni. The weather has been extremely hot the couple of days. And I must say about myself that I am not that capable in extreme heat because I overheat quite easily. So I wasn't really productive but I made sure to ease me through the days with a few nice things. I had a lovely week; spending time with my parents, relaxing, meeting friends and having barbecues! But now I really have to start studying for my exams.

Watermelon, watermelon- it's the best thing on a hot day! So refreshing and tasty also I have been listing to Beyonce's 'Drunk in love' and even she sings about it ^.^

Summer essentials: A good book-I'm currently reading 'Mini Shopaholic' I love all of Sophie Kinsellas books because they are really easy and fun to read, Stawberrrrrries (!) another awesome thing to come home to- I think the strawberries from our village are the most delicious ones and the few times that I was outside I made sure to wear my sunglasses and a high sunscreen!

Finally wore my Birkenstocks out - I think they will be my summer staple piece they are just sooo comfortable and I even convinced my mum to buy herself a pair

 Shirt-H&M, Shorts-Vintage, Shoes- Birkenstocks, Watch-Casio and Rayban-Sunglasses

Breakfast time: Heaven in my mouth!!-waffles with berries and maple syrup

Because of the immense heat I wasn't able to do anything so most of my time I stayed in bed watching youtube videos- I was watching 'Beautycrushs clothes rail'

I hope you all had a lovely week and enjoyed the weather!

Black and White

One of the things that I am most excited about going home is to see my friends. It is always a nice memory to meet up and I find it really funny how you change but still remain the same.
These days I have been living in monochrome, I know not all of my friends like my new black blazer one of my friends even told me I look like a janitor but nonetheless I think I am at a age where you could definitely take some risk in what you will be wearing.

I'm wearing: Black blazer & Trousers-Monki, Shirt-H&M, Shoes-Topshop and Alexander Wang rocco bag borrowed from m friend

Lovely brunch and a lot of catching up to do!

Detail shot: Gorgeous Alexander Wang bag--one day I will be owning one ^.^

Have a lovely weekend!

Hyde Park, Notting Hill, Portobello Market

On Saturday the 29 of march we planned to go to the Hyde Park and have a little picnic. The weather that day was so lovely you could feel and see the spring arriving in London! The morning we spent strolling around the huge Hyde Park. The park has so many nice buildings and sights and just strolling in the park was already very much enjoyable! In the afternoon we drove to Notting Hill and walked trough Chelsea and Kensington all the way to Portobello Road. Luckily it was saturday so the road was packed with tons of small stands selling all kinds of things. I think the Portobello Road Market was one of my favorite things, I loved the vibrant atmosphere, the different food stands and all of the little nooks and crannies you could find at those stands. Also I made such an good find on a vintage Levi's Jacket. If we knew early and had more space in our suitcase, we could have gone a bit mental there. They had so many lovely vintage pieces-some even just for 1£! I will definitely keep that in mind for the next trip to London!
My friend and our little picnic ensemble

beautiful magnolia!

This was such an interesting monument- the albert memorial, on each corner were large sculptures representing the four 'main' continents; Asia, America, Europe and Africa

Royal Albert Hall was directly opposite the Albert Memorial-both of them are very opulent buildings

Kensington palace

Beautiful buildings in Chelsea

A small cafe on Portobello Road

Cute and quirky tea mugs

So many cute and colorful buildings, in one of them George Orwell even resided

Hat/ Leggings/ Top-H&M, Cardigan-Forever21, Boots-Covalliero, Bag-Local Band (The Capitols), Sunglasses-Ray-Ban

The last stop of the day was the infamous Harrods. It was packed with tourist and it wasn't the greatest thing in London but it's such a compulsory sight so we had to go!
