On the 22st of November last year me and my friend Kathleen went on a little day trip to Incheon. It took us about an hour by subway to get there from Seoul. We had a full day planned starting with the infamous Chinatown, where lots of people are lining up for some kind of variation of Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). To be honest I was never a big fan of the Korean version and would always, always prefer the one that my dad makes. We walked through all the little sights it had to offer and I showed Kathleen a few 'authentic' Chinese dishes which included a fried dumpling with chives and egg filling 韭菜盒子 and delicious hot pot. By accident we walked to Songwol-dong Fairytale village which is just a few steps away from Chinatown. The buildings are all very playful/colorful and decorated with childhood heroes. It felt like some kind of amusement park and it offered plenty of great photo motives. In the afternoon we took the subway again to go to Songdo Central Park, for those who watch Superman's return it might be a familiar scenery because of the cute Song Triplets. There we met up with my friend Guil and his friend, who drove us around to show us the ocean. We had chicken and beer for dinner and it was just a very fun and eventful day! I really enjoyed Incheon because it is less cramped than Seoul and has some beautiful spots such as the Central Park and it's also right next to the ocean. Thanks again to the lovely people that made it such a nice day! ♡♡
