Holi Festival of Colours

Last saturday I went to a festival called Holi Colour, this year it has been really popular here in Germany there has been a numerous series of these kind of festivals. It is based on the traditional Hindu spring festival where people throw coloured powder at each other. Originally it was supposed to celebrate the beginning of a new season, good harvest and fertile land. But here in Germany  they combined this tradition with music acts and just general celebration.
Sorry for the bad quality of these photos. I didn't want to bring my camera because I was scared that my camera would be awfully dirty. And I'm telling you when we left, everything was covered in the powder so I'm glad I didn't take it with me. Overall it was a nice day, it was really impressive to see all the colour in the air and people celebrating. My Highlight was definitely Klangkarussell, they are an austrian Dj duo and it was 100% my cup of tea when it comes to music.

Me and my friends all covered with colour

Me in front of the crowd, they threw the powder about every hour

Here is the most famous song of Klangkarussell, have a look!
